Irina Mitrovic graduated at the Academy og Arts, Novi Sad, Piano department in class of prof.Iris Kobal and also obtained the title Master of Musical Arts in class of prof.and pianist Rita Kinka. She has been living and working in Norway since 2013 both as a piano teacher and accompanist in Rana Music school, Drammen Music school and St. Hallvard high school. She is involved in a Talent program as a mentor and accompanist in Drammen community. She is a member of Association of Music Teachers, Norway known as EPTA, Norge.
As a student, she won many awards on competitions both as a soloist and member of chamber music duo and took part in several masterclasses with Kemal Gekic, Nadia Lasserson, Svetlana Bogino and Vladimir Ogarkov. After graduation she worked in musical schools Isidor Bajic, Novi Sad, Zivorad Grbic, Valjevo, Petar Krancevic, Sremska Mitrovica, and since 2004 she worked as accompanist in Opera, Serbian National Theatre, Novi Sad as will as piano accompanist at the Academy of Arts, drama department. She had a close collaboration and many concerts and projects with Branislav Jatic, Jelena Koncar, Danijela Jovanovic etc.
She has had a successful concert life, and performed in many concerts and festivals such as Winter Light Festival in Mo i Rana, Tiendebytte festival Mosjøen, Smeltediegelen, music festival in Mo i Rana, Opera festival in Novi Sad, "Silver Town", international music festival in Srebrenica (BIH), Sterijino pozorje (Novi Sad), Chamber Music Festival "Tisa's flower" (Novi Knezevac), "European Days" (Novi Sad), "Days of Isidor Bajic" (Kula), "Days of French - Serbian friendship" (Lazarevac), "Vuk's Days" (Trsic), concert tour in Russia as soloist and chamber collaborates with Branislav Cvijic, tenor and many concert tours in Norway both as a soloist and with artist like Bjorn Alterhaug, Magnus Jayendra Kjeldal, Oystein Skre, Anne Guri Froynstein, Ingeborg Soot etc.
As a member of "Kammermusikk forening", she was involved in operas "Pokondirena tikva" ("Shoddy") by M.Logar and "Epple" by J.Straus. These chamber operas had their premieres performed with only her accompaniment, and were included in the regular repertoire of the Serbian National Theatre. She was also engaged in dramas "Did the Knyaz's dinner happen?" by Vida Ognjenovic, "Zojka's Apartment", Bulgakov, "Timon of Athens", Shakespeare, and she performed in these performances at drama festivals "Sterijino pozorje" (Sterija's Scene), "Gardos", Summer Festival in Zemun and Professional Theater Festival in Vojvodina.
She participated as a performing pianist in a multimedia project AP Vojvodina "Voices of Epoch", which included a three-year concert tour and the release of the DVD "Tribute to Opera", together with opera soloist Branislav Jatic, bass, and Zorica Belic, soprano.
She established the piano duet "Majrina" in 2004 together with pianist Maja Alvanovic. Duet Majrina has had numerous concerts, and had close collaboration with the Vojvodina composers association and performed modern music. Duett has collaborated with dance studio "Todo tango" for the past 15 years, and has practiced tango music written for piano duet by A. Piazzolla and Pablo Ziegler, followed by dance and stage movement.
Piano duet Majrina has released the CD "Tangomania" with music by A.Piazzolla and P.Ziegler, and the CD with modern music "3 Pieces for Two Pianos" by Lj.Nikolic.
She had many appearances for TV Serbia and RT Vojvodina in its most popular classical music television programs, and has added several archive audio and video recorders to radio and television Bosnia and Serbia.
